Party-in-Your-Mouth European Delights

Take it from me. These are one of the best dessert snacks you will EVER indulge in. A crispy wafer on the outside as you chomp down and then BAM! Surprise! There's a sweet soft sugary syrup in the middle that takes your breath away. This is what a foodie experience is all about. Excitement to your taste buds. Guaranteed goodness. The best kind is straight from Holland but there are many replica brands in your local grocery store I'm sure. This is a Phan fave, my friend.

Foodie Goodie Odds & Ends

Look at that presentation - isn't it neat-o? Thanks to MA's awesome kitchenware of course! My lovely tuna and bocconcini bruschetta (diced with olives, roasted red bell peppers and tossed with pesto), Smartfood white cheddar popcorn and gigantic strawberries! A great way to start off the next Persian meal coming up. This one really takes the cake (check back for tomorrow's post!).

These strawberries on steroids were purchased by MA at the local Superstore and not only were they nearly the size of her hand, the flavor was just as big and powerful! The juiciest and sweetest strawberries I have ever had!!!

And lest we forget, I'll always have to comment on some sort of cool gadget I find at her place. This wooden hot pad is so dang cool! Check out what it transforms into! Straight from China, these innovations never cease to amaze me!

My Weekend Quick Bites

The snack that needs no description - Smartfood popcorn, white cheddar flavor. Chowed down on two bags this weekend, the second time on a bright sunny day at Deep Cove. Nothing could be better! Oh wait, we were also listening to old school R&B music, so it DID get better!

My not so healthy (but do I ever care?) but quick lunch! Seafood instant noodles cup (sure reminds me of the good ol' high school days from Temp Mart) and my parent's leftover dim sum, steamed shrimp paste in eggplant dish - yummy! There's something about all that MSG that is just so damn good, but watch out, you will be extra thirsty after.

Snack-a-Licious

Who doesn't enjoy a great snack or two once in a while? Yummy, I devoured this very bag of chips yesterday after going on a snack binge at Daiso last week with some gal pals. These okonomiyaki flavored Calbee chips are so good! They taste almost exactly like the real thing! My recommendation would be to go to Ma's Clubhouse for a good authentic okonomiyaki and stay very far away from them at The Eatery.

Now watching a movie wouldn't be complete without a good ol' bag of popcorn. With butter. Layer the butter - even better (a tip that my friend MA taught me). And when the butter runs out, make sure you ask for a free package of seasoning at the counter! White Cheddar is my favorite. Plus with a Scene card, get 10% off on all concession goods! Check out the butter stains on the bag, haha.

My all time favorite office snack. Having a bag of rice crackers around, sure is handy. These are the gigantic sized ones that I purchase from London Drugs around the corner. One negative, they're super crunchy and loud so be aware of your neighbors!

And yes, this IS a snack. We actually had this for a 'snack and dessert' after a meal at our beloved Phnom Penh! We all ordered the #35, filet beef on rice with an egg, ate half of the dish, saved the rest for lunch the next day and drove to McDonald's for sundaes, and in my case, shared fries and a cheeseburger with my piggy sisters. I just can't eat the fudge sundaes without dipping their salty fries into it! A perfect post-clubbing-drinking snack fosho!
